Being in an excellent location surrounded by multiple universities, Luke 4:18 Fellowship feels that it is important to provide an area of ministry designed to reach out to college students. This ministry is a tool to spread the gospel to young adults from all walks of life.
The mission of our college ministry is to spread the gospel to students, disciple them, and mold them into leaders for Christ to ultimately be equipped for ministry wherever they are. College is a time for young people to grow and establish who they will be for the rest of their lives, and we, as a body of disciples, want to be there to walk with them and help to establish a Christian worldview and lifestyle.
Currently, our college ministry meets off campus for Bible study and fellowship on Wednesday nights at 8 PM at the home of David Carpenter. Please contact the church office for more info.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT?
As you may know, a college student is typically far from home, so a home cooked meal and family is often only found after a long drive. So, Luke 4:18 Fellowship is asking church members to simply open up their homes about once a month to a college student for a meal. This is the perfect opportunity for you to invest in a young person's life, disciple them, and share the love of Christ. If you are interested in being a part of this support program, please contact our church office.
Sermon on the Mount
We are studying through the only recorded sermon that Jesus gave. In this sermon we are shown how to live out life by cleaning out our hearts from sin. It is to show us our heart problem with our sin. From the beatitudes to the warnings agianst hypocrisy.
College 2nd Family
A big emphasis at Luke 4:18 is discipleship. Having a second family means that we will pair you up with an older person in the congregation to disciple you. This will be a couple that will cook a warm meal for you, help guide you through scripture, and help you wrestle with your questions about life. If you have any interest in getting a second family, talk to David Bullock or emial him at
